Chelsea M. Warren is a theatre artist based in Chicago with a focus on scenery, puppetry, costumes and devised theatre. Recent scenic projects include: Always Patsy Cline (Milwaukee Rep), fml: how Carson McCullers saved my life, First Look 2011, A Separate Peace (Steppenwolf Theatre), Hesperia (Writers Theatre), The Kid Thing (Chicago Dramatists & About Face Theatre), Pornography, A Brief History of Helen of Troy (Steep Theatre), Ghosts of Treasure Island (Adventure Stage Chicago), The Metal Children (Next Theatre), K. (The Hypocrites) and Mrs. Caliban (Lifeline Theatre). Further recent work includes: Manifest 2012 (Columbia College Chicago), co- puppet designer/creator and costume design; The Story Story project, Story 3 illustration; and 13 Clocks (Lifeline Theatre) puppets and scenery. International sceneographic work includes: Stones/Air (Barossa International Sculpture Park, S.Australia) and La Femme des Sables (Compagnie Unikaji, Paris & Zagreb).

Upcoming work includes: Yellow House, a devised work co-directed with Ann Boyd, which was a part of University of Chicago’s Summer Inc 2012 with performances this summer. Recently Ms.Warren working with collaborator Chantal Calato received a Columbia College Part Time Faculty Development Grant funding the blog mini c puppetry and photography project Living the Dream.

Chelsea received her MFA from Northwestern University and teaches at Columbia College, University of Chicago and DePaul University.
